
KICKBOXING
Kickboxing, as one of the stand-up combat sports, is based upon kicking and punching, historically developed from karate, mixed with boxing. It is practiced for self-defense, general fitness, or as a contact sport. Japanese kickboxing originated in the late 1950s, with competitions held since then.
American kickboxing originated in the 1970s and was brought to prominence in September 1974, when the Professional Karate Association (PKA) held the first World Championships. Historically, kickboxing can be considered a hybrid martial art formed from the combination of elements of various traditional styles. This approach became increasingly popular since the 1970s, and since the 1990s, kickboxing has contributed to the emergence of mixed martial arts via further hybridization with ground fighting techniques from Brazilian jiu-jitsu and folk wrestling.

As part of a Martial Art, or rather a combat sport, Kickboxing is one of the most complete sports or work-outs you can imagine. But let's not get lost in imagination, cos its content withholds an uncompromising reality. Complete in the sense of the various aspects as a human being; The Body, The Mind and The Soul.
The body
It is no secret that in order to face an adversary who has the same intentions as you, you are going to need the development of your body as an instrument of fighting. A very extensive workout in terms of cardio, power training, flexibility, agility and endurance are top listed.
The Mind
Besides learning the various punches and kicks, focus, coordination and concentration are key elements, as well as strategy, calculation, observation & anticipation.
The Soul
As a combat sport, you're developing yourself to survive. All illusions and ego tripping will get a beat and will be broken down to reality. It is this practice that creates individuals, developed and trained to the highest of their potentials, that are also the most modest, aware and conscious about themselves.
They know that ego and illusions are triggers that can compromise your mission, and you don't want to be tricked by that. Cos that is the moment you get beaten down.

Kids of this age want to explore, learn, find a place where they can get rid of their energy (or aggression). Our classes emphasize a physical, mental and motor development by extensive exercises and games, based upon the punches and kicks, knowing what is mine and what is yours, guarding, protecting and defending it.

As the title indicates, a group only accessible for women. Nevertheless, we are in the realm of Kickboxing, so the stakes are high. Serious warming up exercises based upon intense cardio, strength and power training are altered with One on One exercises, Drills, Bag sequences and light sparring sessions.
If you're not having a serious condition, cardio or motor skills, we strongly advise you to chose for Cross Training during a couple of months. Experience shows hardly anyone not having developed above mentioned features won't be able to keep up or just die.
