After 3 months of holidays in Buenos Aires, which turned actually into 5 years living and breathing Argentine Tango Dancing, I ended up into a friend's Dance Studio to continue my trainings during Covid One. The combination of Covid's restrictions and high energies of spiritual transformation called for attention, resulting in hanging up my first boxing bag ever. That same friend's suggestion, "Why not teach Kickboxing", resulted into a studio of 5 by 4, welcoming 35 subscriptions in my first month.
Crazy? Yes, it was!

From 20 m2 to 650 m2

A failing partnership, the loss of half a year set-up of a Concept store, a combination of an Outlet Store, a Social Media - Dance platform and a Kickboxing school in the stock room, evaporated into nothingness.

While transferring the keys to the real estate agent, he informed me about the premises next door. A well-known squash and fitness centre which had been abandoned for over more than 15 years.

And their it arose. A contract of 2 years, 8 months of renovations, but a rental tag that compensated largely the possibilities and extension of my Kickboxing project. Up we went.

Taking off with a Kickboxing school in Vilvoorde seemed like the thing to do. Moving to this building turned into a real drawl for people that wanted Combat sports and Martial arts.

The club seemed a real magnet for Martial Arts, both for instructors and members. In less than 2 years time, we grew to 6 different Martial Arts, various Fitness Coaches and Personal Trainers, with an overall of more than 175 active members, and .... growing.

Time to Move!

But our contract was due. What now! Searching for another building or letting every coach go his own way.

I felt like holding on. So, search and found an old garage. The deal was quickly made, the renovations started immediately and the same concept saw daylight a couple of months later. Except for one thing!

An incessant stream of customers of all kinds lifting up our annual capacity to 800 subscriptions, the rental of several studio's to personal coaches, a fully equipped combat gear store, and prestigious coaches joining the team.

Opening new facility with 4 Personal Coaching Studio's, a Cross Training Gym, a Shop and of course our Boxing Gym.

Our new location, the new Boxing Gym in Vilvoorde and the impact of Social Media gave our Club a boost as no other. Soon various Boxing and Kickboxing coaches from everywhere came to visit or wanted to be a part of the team, bringing up some real level and value to Espace 73.
