GRAPPLING
Grappling is a fighting technique based on throws, trips, sweeps, clinch fighting, ground fighting and submission holds. Grappling appeared in 1990-2010.

Grappling contests often involve take-downs and ground control, and may end when a contestant concedes defeat. Should there be no winner after the match time-limit has lapsed, competition judges will determine the winner based on who exerted more control.

Grappling most commonly does not include striking or the use of weapons. However, some fighting styles or martial arts known especially for their grappling techniques teach tactics that include strikes and weapons either alongside grappling or combined with it.
YOUR COACH
Arlan de Almeida Sousa, as a brasilian native, is a grand master on the floor. Both as an Brasilian Jiu Jitsu and Capuera instructor he has his skill under his (black) belt, so to speak.

His talent in both arts go way beyond the technical exploration of movement, body and mind. It travels over the frontiers of culture and personal development as a human being.

As from October he's coming over to our club to share his passion and abilities to inspire people in these both disciplines.
